The song by Queen spontaneously comes to mind (the older generation among you will still know it) when I get on my bike on election Sunday after casting my vote. The camera packed, I go on safari to explore the Veloroute.
Veloroute 10 is not only a quick shortcut for students to the university, but has also become a popular bike path for young and old. Partly completely hidden by greenery, cut off from the city, then open again with a view of the expressway. From Citti-Park along allotments. Over several bridges past various fancy graffiti. Left and right sports fields, tennis courts and skater track with lots of grassy areas and two ponds with water features. Veloroute 10 ends behind Mensa II.
It is not only fun to ride this straight route, but it also offers relaxation and is balm for the soul. A little time out from the hustle and bustle of the city, in the middle of the city.
It is to be hoped that the city planners will come up with more such paths.
With that in mind;
Bicycle, Bicycle.
The word safari comes from the Swahili language of East Africa and stands there for a journey of any kind (e.g. a simple, longer walk). wikipedia
